Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will help maintain accurate financial records, strengthen reporting quality, and support key accounting activities across the close cycle. This position also partners with internal stakeholders on analysis, budgeting support, and audit readiness while promoting strong financial controls and efficient processes. Responsibilities: - Manage recurring and non-routine journal entries, reconcile general ledger activity, and produce accurate financial reporting for assigned areas. - Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities to ensure timely completion and adherence to applicable accounting standards. - Examine financial results, investigate variances, and highlight trends or issues that require follow-up or corrective action. - Support planning efforts by contributing to budgets, forecasts, and comparisons between actual performance and expected results. - Improve accounting workflows by identifying inefficiencies and recommending practical process enhancements and stronger controls. - Maintain cash flow projections using inputs gathered from accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections partners. - Provide coverage for accounts payable leadership responsibilities when needed to help maintain continuity of operations. - Assist with audit preparation and respond to documentation requests to support internal and external review activities. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. - At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a business environment. - Strong command of month-end close procedures, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations. - Experience preparing bank reconciliations and reviewing financial data for accuracy and completeness. - Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting practices, and internal control expectations. - Advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail. - Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven setting.
