In this Sr Web Software Engineer role, you will lead and develop the web frontend of GM Commercial Software. Come join us and let's innovate! **What You'll Do** + Collaborate with the product to implement responsive, visually appealing functionality using React. Ensure the usability and accessibility of web applications for a wide range of users. + Build and launch new capabilities and products that bring significant value to customers internal and external + Uphold our high engineering standards. Elevate quality and engineering efficiency within our codebases. + Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization including product, design, and other engineering functions. + Mentor engineers earlier in their technical career to help them grow. + Explore new technologies and enrich our technological stack. + Actively participate in technical discussions and deep dives with architectural groups. **Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)** + 5+ years of hands-on web application development + Strong understanding and experience with React, Redux, and design systems. + Experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end testing to ensure the reliability and robustness of the applications. + Write high quality production code that is tested thoroughly, supported by clear documentation and has appropriate production observability + Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an agile development environment. + Experience working independently and drive features or components throughout the development lifecycle + Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. + Knowledge of software design patterns, OO, data structures, and algorithms. **What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)** + Strong product focus and acumen. + Experience with IoT stack is a big plus + A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies. + BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science/Engineering preferred **Compensation:** The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The salary range for this role is **$153,200 - $269,200** . The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as the geography of the selected candidate. **Bonus Potential:** An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance. **Benefits:** GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
