Job Title: Creo Toolkit Developer Location: Spring, Texas Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour Work Model: Hybrid - onsite and remote Hours: 40.0 hours per week Security Clearance: Not specified Overview We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Creo Toolkit Developer to design, build, and support next-generation engineering applications that integrate PTC Creo Parametric and PTC Windchill within a modern digital engineering ecosystem. In this role, you'll develop and maintain Creo Toolkit (C/C++) applications, plugins, and automation, create custom commands/menus/dialogs/event handlers, and build Creo-Windchill integrations using Windchill APIs and services (e.g., Java APIs, REST services, data access/query frameworks, and workflow/lifecycle APIs). You'll collaborate with software engineers, CAD administrators, and engineering stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver high-quality solutions, troubleshoot complex integration issues, and produce technical documentation and deployment guidance. The work also supports initiatives such as Model-Based Definition (MBD) and broader digital engineering efforts. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity based in Spring, TX (hybrid), working 40 hours/week, focused on improving engineering productivity through automation, custom CAD tooling, and streamlined PLM workflows. Responsibilities + Design, develop, test, and maintain custom applications using PTC Creo Toolkit (C/C++). + Develop integrations between Creo Parametric and PTC Windchill utilizing Windchill APIs and services. + Create automated engineering workflows, custom user interfaces, and productivity-enhancing CAD tools. + Develop solutions for managing CAD data, metadata, attributes, configurations, and lifecycle processes. + Support Model-Based Definition (MBD), digital thread, and digital engineering initiatives. + Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues involving Creo customizations, Windchill integrations, and CAD data management. + Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and software quality initiatives. + Prepare technical documentation, deployment procedures, and user guides. + Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements to engineering systems and workflows. Requirements + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline. + 5 years of hands-on development experience with PTC Creo Parametric and Creo Toolkit. + Experience and understanding of Creo surface creation and editing. + Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming. + Experience developing custom commands, menus, dialogs, event handlers, and automation within Creo. + Experience integrating Creo applications with PTC Windchill. + Working knowledge of Windchill APIs, including: Windchill Java APIs, REST Services, Query and data access frameworks, Workflow and lifecycle-related APIs. + Understanding of CAD data management and PLM best practices. + Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and software development lifecycle experience. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with Windchill customization and server-side development. + Hands-on experience using Creo Parametric. + Experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#. + Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering (MBE) and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). + Knowledge of engineering automation, digital thread, and digital twin concepts. + Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies. + Experience in maritime, offshore, manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial engineering environments. + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar development platforms.
