Cost Accountant

Description A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position will play a key role in cost analysis, inventory management, month-end close activities, and supporting operational decision-making across the business. Responsibilities + Participate in monthly and year-end close processes. + Maintain and analyze standard costing and investigate cost variances. + Assist with inventory accounting, valuation, and cycle count activities. + Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost improvement initiatives. + Analyze labor, overhead, production, and inventory-related costs. + Review and maintain product costing data and bill of materials information. + Partner with operations and leadership to provide financial analysis and reporting. + Assist with process improvements and special projects as needed. Requirements Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. + 2+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or product-based environment. + Experience with cost accounting, inventory accounting, or financial analysis. + ERP system experience preferred. + Advanced Excel skills. + Strong analytical, organizational, and communication abilities. + CPA or CPA-track is a plus. + Ability to collaborate effectively across departments. + Limited travel may be required.
