Role Summary
The Early Childhood Teacher will plan and deliver age-appropriate educational programs that support children’s learning and development. The role will involve creating engaging learning experiences, monitoring individual progress and maintaining communication with families and the centre team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare and deliver indoor and outdoor activities using suitable educational resources, creative materials and practical learning experiences.
• Monitor and document children’s development, behaviour and participation to identify individual learning needs and areas requiring additional support.
• Participate in team meetings, professional discussions and centre activities to support consistent educational practices and family engagement.
• Develop and implement structured learning programs that support children’s cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy and inclusive learning environment by monitoring children’s wellbeing, supervision needs and daily routines.
• Communicate with parents and families about children’s learning, development, participation and areas of progress.
• Encourage children’s communication, early literacy and language skills through group discussions, stories, music, role play and interactive activities

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as an Early Childhood Teacher or in a similar early childhood education role.
• Current or eligible professional registration or approval required to work as an Early Childhood Teacher in Victoria.

• Sound understanding of early childhood learning, development and age-appropriate educational practices.
• Strong communication, organisation, teamwork and child-focused interpersonal skills.
