Software Engineer

About the Role

nDucive Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong SAP experience to join its technology team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, maintaining and supporting enterprise software solutions, with a particular focus on SAP platforms, business applications, system integration and enterprise technology environments.

The role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and clients to understand requirements, develop technical solutions and deliver reliable and scalable software and SAP-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse business and technical requirements and translate them into software and SAP technical solutions.
• Design, develop, implement and maintain enterprise software applications and SAP solutions.
• Develop and maintain SAP integrations with internal and external applications.
• Work with SAP modules, interfaces and enterprise application components according to project requirements.
• Develop, configure, test and support SAP-related technical solutions.
• Develop APIs, web services and integration components connecting SAP with other enterprise systems.
• Analyse existing applications and SAP environments and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in system design, application architecture and technical solution development.
• Develop software using appropriate programming languages, frameworks and development methodologies.
• Perform unit testing, integration testing, troubleshooting and defect resolution.
• Investigate production issues and provide technical solutions and root-cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain development and technical standards.
• Work with databases and enterprise data structures associated with SAP and other business applications.
• Use Git and source-control practices for software development and configuration management.
• Contribute to CI/CD and automated deployment processes where applicable.
• Prepare technical documentation, system specifications and implementation documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps, cloud, infrastructure and security teams where required.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities, sprint planning and technical discussions.
• Work with clients and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver appropriate technical solutions.
• Keep current with SAP technologies, enterprise application development practices and emerging technologies.

Essential Skills and Experience

The successful applicant will have:

• A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering/development experience.
• Strong professional experience working with SAP enterprise environments.
• Experience in SAP application development, technical implementation, integration or support.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience developing enterprise applications and system integrations.
• Experience with SAP interfaces, APIs, web services or integration technologies.
• Strong programming and software development skills.
• Experience working with relational databases and enterprise data.
• Experience with source-control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary technical team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with clients and business stakeholders.
