Museum Resume Workshop Series: How to Present Transferable Skills

The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum invites you to a multi-part professional development workshop series for students interested in a career in museums or cultural institutions. Each session of the workshop will focus on improving one aspect of your job application material. The series will conclude with a resume review with department heads from The GW Museum and The Textile Museum.

Join museum director John Wetenhall and curator of education Lori Kartchner for our first session, where we will discuss how to present transferable skills on your resume. All graduate students come into their program with valuable skills that are attractive to potential employers, even if previous jobs are not within the field you seek employment. Learn how to best display these skills while they are fresh in your mind.
